Consultation on the proposed admission number for
Barrs Court Primary School for September 2027
In consultation with its local Academy Community Council, the Mosaic Partnership Trust is proposing to reduce the admission number for Barrs Court Primary School.
It is proposed to reduce the admission number from 45 to 30 with effect from 1 September 2027. The proposal will bring the admission number more closely in line with recent and anticipated admissions to the school and will apply to new applications received for first admission to the reception class in September 2027.
Due consideration has been given to area data which shows that the number of projected children joining the school will decrease over the next 4 years, with a total of 28 surplus spaces. The new admission number will age through 30 across the age range over a period of 7 years. The rationale behind the move from 45 to 30 is that this will enable the school to operate a single year group structure which will support the effective delivery of the curriculum and reduce surplus spaces.
No other alterations to the admission arrangements at the school are proposed and children currently attending the school will remain on roll.
Any comment on this proposal may be sent to The Mosaic Partnership Trust by email to or by post at the following address, please include ‘PAN consultation’ in the subject title:
