Barrs Court Charity Donations

Our Commitment to Making a Difference

Why We Raise Money for Different Causes

At Barrs Court Primary School, our ethos extends beyond the classroom walls. We believe in nurturing not just academically proficient, but also socially conscious individuals. That's why we engage in raising funds for a variety of causes – local, national, and international. From supporting local food banks to contributing to international disaster relief efforts, we aim to instill a sense of global citizenship in our young learners.

Benefits to Our Children

Our fundraising efforts are not just about the end sum. They are a powerful educational tool:

  • Empathy and Compassion: Children learn to empathise with those in different situations, understanding that their actions can have a positive impact on others' lives.

  • Global Awareness: By supporting various causes, students gain insight into the broader world, learning about different cultures, environments, and societal challenges.

  • Teamwork and Leadership: Organising and participating in fundraising activities offer children the opportunity to develop essential life skills such as teamwork, leadership, and project management.

  • Sense of Achievement: There's a profound sense of achievement and pride that comes from contributing to a worthy cause. This reinforces positive behaviour and a can-do attitude.

A Heartfelt Thank You to Our Families

We couldn't do this without the incredible support of our families. Your enthusiasm, generosity, and participation amplify our efforts and serve as a powerful example of community spirit for our students. Whether it's through your donations, time, or ideas, your involvement is the cornerstone of our successful fundraising initiatives. Together, we're not just raising funds; we're building a compassionate, connected community.

So far this year we have raised over £800 for different charities and made two donations the local Food Bank - The Juice Project.
