Curriculum

Teaching and Learning

Each term the children have a new enquiry question to answer which allows them to immerse themselves in their learning, taking on different states of being in the process (eg scientist, geographer, philosopher etc). By the end of an enquiry, the children will be able to answer the question, drawing on all the engaging activities they have taken part in during the term. Each term, the enquiry web will be posted so you can see what your child will be learning. Ask them lots of questions – we know they will be able to talk about their learning confidently – the children love our enquiry approach to learning!  

When being mathematicians, we use the White Rose scheme of learning to ensure we cover everything the children need to know in Years 1 and 2.

We use Little Wandle for our Phonics and Early Reading in Year 1 and 2.

In Term 5 we will answer the enquiry question 'What is home?'
