Health Heroes

Who are the Health Heroes?

The Health Heroes are made up of children from Years 5 and 6.  The children had to fill in an application form to put forward the reasons why they should be chosen in a persuasive way, including information about what they would drive forward in the school within the role.  The Health Heroes are a key reason why Barrs Court have continued to hold the Platinum Games Mark for so many years.

What have the Health Heroes done so far this year?

The Health Heroes' main responsibilities include promoting physical health and mental wellbeing in school, especially during lunchtimes.  They organise a range of sports competitions for each of the different year groups and encourage children to have fun whilst doing it.  They have also helped with the hosting and running of inter-school events.

What is coming up for the Health Heroes later this year?

Their next projects will include leading an initiative in promoting healthy eating, and looking at how the children at Barrs Court can rest, recover and sleep better.
