Pupil Leadership
The intent of the Pupil Leadership opportunities at Barrs Court is to enable children the chance to have ownership and responsibility within the school, ensuring that their voices and opinions are heard. It allows pupils to take pride in the school and inspires ambition.
We have several leadership opportunities in school including:
- School Council
- Eco-Club
- Health Heroes- see our page for details.
- Cultural Ambassadors
- Librarians
- Playground buddies - This is a new group of Year 5/6 leaders who are leading a games and activities group for Year 3/4 children on a Wednesday lunchtime and for Year 1/2 children on a Thursday lunchtime. The leaders choose and plan their own activities.
- Kindness Ambassadors- All Year 6 children are taking it in turns to look out for "Random Acts of Kindness". When they spot an act, a mini-certificate is awarded and the act recorded with a kindness celebration scheduled for the end of the year to celebrate the kindness in Barrs Court.
