What the children say about school

At Barrs Court, we value the opinions and ideas of the children. We want them to make a difference and have ownership over their school. We use pupil voice to make improvements to the school. Throughout the year we ask them about different things including: 'How we keep them safe?' 'What they like about school?' and 'What they would like to change about the school?'. The action we take following these pupil voice responses will be documented on this page.

In September 2022 we asked a range of pupils from across this school about safeguarding, how we keep them safe and what they would do if they felt worried.

Actions the school has taken:

- Kindness Week (Anti-bullying Week) to re-enforce the message that you should always speak up if you feel unsafe or see someone that is not OK.

- Planned a parent workshop on 'keeping children safe online'. This is booked for January 5th @ 7pm  more details to follow.
